new game?

I played this game with my mom in my dream. The game is basically like chess with nothing but rooks, and you try to capture other pieces. The only other differences are that there's lots of barriers/walls up so you can't just move right across the board except for in a few places. You also have a home that you try to get them to where you take the piece off the board if you get it to that spot and get a few points (2, I think). Also, you start in different varying positions where you're already intertwined with their pieces from the start to get the ball rolling. The game is set up for 2 to 4 players, and it only goes for a limited time-certain amount of turns so you don't end up going all the way till the pieces are gone. You get 1 point for each other player's piece you kill. I played with my mom and for some reason she really stressed me out trying to beat her which is ridiculous because we were only playing a game. Maybe that reflects my own life and my stress level right now..

Ivor

dream - Guy looking for lab job in a cardiovascular lab on the East coast that he can join for his PhD. Said he wants to harvest tissue from marine animals so can't be too far in. He also said he worked in Ivor Benjamin's lab during his undergraduate years, and so I caught onto that and teased him by saying:
me:
Which school did you say you went to?
him: Oh, I went to the University of Utah
me: That's kind of far for you to come. I didn't think University of Utah graduates made it in college (refering to college as graduate school)

Nonrandomness

dream - Guy believes in non-randomness - looks for God.
Then one day he gets arrested by the Feds. It isn't anything he's done; he just gets caught up in the wrong thing. (The government fails him.)
While in jail he descends to the basest of friends who one day betray him and remove their friendship from him. (Friends fail him.)
Then while in jail he meets a man of God. Thinking God is not real and that this man will hate him too, the man blames all his past evils on the evil within himself. He then learns from the man of God that God is just, and even though he's been through seemingly random events that make him look evil, he still has a pure spirit, and in the end he will inherit the kingdom of God. (God doesn't fail.)

A new creative spurt

This was read by a guy in my dream:
Instructions - [before reading a Dr. Seusslike book]
We'll have to go to the flat side of the moon. There we can meet the mind who made it. The tight ones unravel. Kings and the great ones of the earth humiliate to be gently appraised.

Here's a hypothetical conversation about the meaning of this writing:
author: "...meaning we'll have to be or do something new that's never been done."
other: "or you mean that doesn't exist."
author: "not that the flat side of the moon doesn't exist..."
other: "But it's round."
author: "Yeah, but when you're far away, doesn't it look flat?"

Alarm clocks

Lately I've had this thing where I dream my phone goes off or that there's a knock at the door or something. It makes me jump and I wake up, but then I look at my phone and there's nothing. It happens right at 6:00am or around then. It happened this morning and I think it happened yesterday. Sometimes if I tell myself I'll wake up at a specific time, I'll have that happen right when I said I'd wake up. It's great-I don't need an alarm clock! I'm crazy!!

I daydreamed this and then I drew it.

Lions

I dreamed I was at the lion museum. They had you roar when you got in. I roared weakly the first time, but with the staff making fun of me (in a good way), I got progressively louder until the 3rd time I sounded like a real lion. Then I wanted to go through the exhibit. They had the life cycle of the lion broken up into 3 or 4 groups. They were food, love, fighting, and maybe something else. I am in the fighting stage of life, j/k.
